Trillium Academics is a service created by Canadian educators at the secondary and post-secondary level to address the way educators and parents need more direct and actionable support to help students succeed.

Based in Peterborough, Ontario, Trillium Academics was created to address the way Canadian colleges and universities don’t always address the needs of their educators. While many institutions offer some support support, we found that many educators (ourselves included) did not know how to get the help we needed or were worried there would be employment risks if they reached out. In this journey, we heard similar stories from parents; they wanted to help out but did not get the support they needed.

Rather, than accepting that this is as a necessary part of the journey, we use our experience as TAs and other learning supports to help you navigate the complex needs that this role doesn’t prepare you for.

We want to make things easy for you and to reassure you that all of our services are judgement-free. We have experienced many of the challenges that you have experienced before and are eager to help apply these to address your situation. Whether you are looking for time management skills, advice navigating the reading load, or tips on classroom engagement and classroom management, we will use our experience to help you navigate these concerns.

We can also work with parents whose children are entering the post-graduate level (university and college). We are happy to help you understand the journey your new scholars are taking.
