Supporting Institutions

We provide workshop session and consultation services to academic institutions looking to improve their student supports. We are happy to work with universities and colleges across Canada.

If your institution is outside Canada, we might not be able to provide you our services at this time. However, we are always interested in expanding our breadth of services so feel free to contact us to inquire.

  • Book a one-hour, two-hour, full-day, or half-day teaching assistant workshop. This can focus on the fundamentals of being a TA, managing the workload alongside other obligations, or other topics as requested.

    This service is not available for the first two weeks of September or the first two weeks of January.

  • Book a large group session that introduces your incoming graduate students to the fundamentals of being a teaching assistant. This can be booked as multiple duplicate sessions at a reduced rate.

    This is primarily offered during the first two weeks of September and the first two weeks of January.

  • We can work with you to find the best system to provide your students with more support that matches your institution’s needs.

Reserve Appointments

In the current academic climate, it can be difficult finding support and resources for your employees that match the reality of available resources due to shifting enrollment and external support. At Trillium Academics, our system ensures that you and your employees work with skilled Teaching Skill Strategists in a way that meets your needs.

Our system is based on the methods of learning skill instruction alongside experience gained through Teaching Assistant experience. This ensures your employees job-specific advice from staff that have proven success in Canadian university supports.

If you would like to provide additional support to your teaching assistants, we are happy to work with your institution in a variety of ways. We can provide a set number of appointments for your institution throughout the year for your teaching assistants to use.

Alternatively, we can hold weekly sessions, much like office hours, and reserve them for your TAs to drop in and access our support team as needed.

Not sure about how much your TAs will access our service or if you’re able to cover the support fully? We will provide you with a coupon code for your TAs to access our service at a reduced rate. This allows you to help your team with minimal financial commitment on your part
